Taroudant is a Moroccan city and the capital of the Taroudant region in the Souss-Massa region in southern Morocco.It is an Amazigh city,
most of whose inhabitants speak the Berber language The city wall of Taroudant is the oldest historical wall in the Maghreb and Africa and the third largest in the world after the Great Wall of China and the Cumbalgar Wall in India. The length of the wall is 7.5 km, and it is built with compacted soil mixed with lime, which gives the wall its strength.This wall has five gates, which are Bab Al Kasbah, Bab Al Zargan, Bab Targhunt, Bab Awlad Bounouna, and Bab Al Khamis.
Taroudant is considered one of the ancient and favorite cities for tourists looking for historical feats and wanting in a quiet place away from the noise of major cities.
