For lovers of travel, Lake ifni, southern Morocco

Lake Ifni is the largest mountain lake in Morocco and one of the highest with an altitude of 2300 m is located at the bottom of a valley framed by the peaks of the jbel Toubkal, the Ouanoukrim and the dome of Ifni. Its banks are made up of steep slopes except to the west where it is bordered by a vast stony plain, a geological formation called a glacis.A huge landslide that blocked the valley in which it is located gave birth to the lake. The waters of the lake seep into the rock to reappear a few hundred meters below in the valley where its beneficial waters are used to irrigate the fields.

Today the lake is mostly frequented by tourists. They come to see the emerald waters of this lake shimmering in a high mountain mineral setting. Occasionally, they take advantage of the warmth of its waters to bathe and cool off.

This lake is a haven for travel owners, nature lovers and lovers of travel and recreation, as thousands of tourists visit it from home and abroad every year. This lake is considered one of the most beautiful areas in southern Morocco and is distinguished by its proximity to the cities of Marrakech and Taroudant, which makes it a tourist area par excellence.
